Get Designer Hair for the Weekend With One Product
Braids are back again this year, we saw them everywhere on the catwalks around the world, and they're not as difficult to do yourself as you think. We've got a great new season look for you to try, and it only takes one product to get it . . . no tricks!
Mark Hampton, Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe's global hair ambassador, created two stunning looks for the Marchesa Autumn/Winter 2014 show one up and textured, the other braided back. At London Fashion Week last month he showed us how you can combine these two looks to get something new and totally on-trend for the new season.
"The secret to great hair, is just to make it beautiful," Mark says. "It doesn't have to be too complicated, just make it natural and beautiful, I want the girl to get up from the chair after she's done and feel amazing." The master of gorgeous hair — hello Marchesa Spring Summer 2015 — he knows what he's talking about.
Getting your new Summer style sorted is fun, it's a chance to lighten things up, play around and try something new. So even if you're not up for a big hair-change of colour or cut, a new style make just as much impact on your overall look. "Style doesn't stop with what you're wearing, you know, it's about your complete look from your hair, down to your top and your shoes," explains Anna Trevelyan, stylist to the stars and a member of Toni & Guy's Hair Meet Wardrobe style collective. "This look works best with the creative collection, it's about mixing things from different influences and coming up with a multi-cultural, modern and really cool style." Just look at the undeniable cool of FKA Twigs for inspiration.
So, if you've got some new Summer swag, the only thing left is to up the style-ante. Here's our step-by-step guide to getting this designer approved update on a braided and twisted up 'do. But remember style is all about what you like, so do as much or as little as you like, and wear it your way.
