Brand Truaxe Death 2019

Brand Truaxe, Founder of Skincare Brand Deciem, Has Died

Brandon Truaxe, the founder of cult skincare brand Deciem, has died, an executive at the company confirmed to Vox. An email was sent by CEO Nicola Kilner to the staff stating Truaxe died over the weekend.

Deciem became a fan favourite for the affordable and effective skin care products they created; they touted themselves as the "Abnormal Beauty Company." Truaxe made headlines within the beauty community this past year for his erratic social media posts on Deciem's Instagram account. In October 2018, a judge ousted him as CEO and appointed Kilner to the position, a decision made after Estée Lauder — a minority shareholder in the company — took legal action against Truaxe after he made series a accusations regarding the company's operations.

Truaxe was 40 years old. We'll keep this post updated as the story develops.
