Don't call it a comeback. Though the rose gold hair-colour trend has undergone many transformations and variations, it seems to be as popular as ever. Even Kim Kardashian recently dyed her hair a bubblegum-pink shade that's basically the punchy Powerpuff Girls relative of rose gold. But now a new hair colour, first spotted by Allure, is catching our attention: buttered rose gold.
Created by Presley Poe of Pravana Colour Collective, the hair colour is a soft rose gold that features a blonder tone throughout with a darker base and lighter ends. The colourist told Allure that he wanted the colour to be unconventional yet wearable. "So much in my art is an investment into which colour I think best suits my clients' personal tones, tastes, and style," he said.
To achieve the look, Presley blended the model's previous colour, a faded pink, with the brighter pink at the base. "Doing this helps to soften an otherwise very defined colour and allows the artist to use a colour palette that is working for them rather than against them," he said. The result is a soft and glowing pink colour that can now only be described as simply buttery.
