You Should Really Try Your Lip Liner as Eyeliner
We're always in favour of using our products in new and unexpected ways, but if we're honest, we'd never thought of applying lip liner to our eyes — until now that is.
We guess it shouldn't come as a surprise. After seeing nearly everyone re-purpose lipsticks as shadows during MBFWA, we've now seeing the trend morph its way into something a little more understated, with artists at both New York and London Fashion Week subbing out eyeliner in favour of the humble lip pencil.
And after trying it for ourselves, we're happy to report we have both our eyesight, and a newly converted obsession. We're not entirely sure if it's the act of simply doing something different (or slightly unexpected) that makes the whole look feel cooler, but there's something about lifting and defining the eye with a nude hue that really works.
In the same way that switching up your black liner for a brown can transform your look, creating a slightly winged liner, or a wash of colour with a nude (or even tawny shade), appears almost effortless and non-existent, but in a still purposeful kind of way. To play it safe (and you know, for hygiene) we'd suggest you purchase a fresh liner, as it's probably not ideal to be using something both on your mouth and in your eyeball area.
