We had a bit of an "ah" moment yesterday when supermodel Coco Rocha arrived at Crown Oaks Day. The well-known Canadian model was in town as the official Style Guest for the 2013 Melbourne Cup, VRC Oaks Club Lunch and Crown Oaks Day, and really took the fashion and celebrity presence at the events to new levels. We spoke to her travelling hair and makeup artist, Veronica Chu, about how she came to decide on Coco's powerful beauty look for Crown Oaks Day.
"I really wanted Coco's hair and make up to reflect to reflect the elegance and sophistication of Crown Oaks Day, but also incorporate a fashion edge," she tells POPSUGAR Australia Beauty. "[Yesterday] Coco was dressed in Anthony Capon's Myer Fashions on the Field Designer Award ensemble, so I paired it with a golden cat-eye with a deep red lip. And because the headpiece — also by Capon — was so dramatic, I kept Coco's hair sleek as not to compete."
