Delta Goodrem's Colourist Tells Us All About Her New Brunette Hue
This week The Voice we got a proper look at Delta Goodrem's new dark hair hue, and we love it! The singer posted a pic of her new hair colour on her Instagram, crediting her glam squad, Mon from Que Colour and celebrity stylist Michael Brennan, for her new look.
We chatted to Delta's colourist Monique McMahon, Colour Director Que Colour and Christophe Robin Paris ambassador, and she told us all about her new colour. "Using our signature freestyle colour application design, we worked in honeycomb brunette tones, saucy chocolates with vanilla blonde through Delta's lengths." Usually a caramel blonde, Mon says this new colour really compliments Delta's skin tone and leaves her with "a flawless complexion". She added that the decision to evolve the colour was all Delta's, and she was ready for change.
If you're considering a new look for the change in season, why not make like Delta and mix up your hair hue for a glossy update. Mon advises, "Get your colourist to work with your complexion to show off your best features." As a general rule, it's best to stick to going only two to three shades darker than your base colour, and keep some lighter pieces in the ends (just like Delts!), to keep it looking natural.
