François Ternon's Chanel No.5 biography is released in Europe

Chanel No.5 Biography Hits European Shelves

Note to self: must move to France. Or Belgium or Switzerland. Because yesterday, an “authorised biography” of Chanel No.5 was released in all three countries according to WWD.

Entitled Histoire du No.5 Chanel, Un Numéro Intemporel (aka Story of Chanel No.5, A Timeless Number to you and me), it spills the beans on how the fragrance got its name, plus details about the bottle and of course Mademoiselle Chanel and her cocreator Ernest Beaux.

The author, François Ternon, received 32 illustrated pages from the house of Chanel so I can’t wait to get my hands on it. And a translator for that matter.
