Help Raise Awareness For Pulmonary Hypertension By Wearing Blue Lipstick

A Very Good Reason to Bust Out the Blue Lipstick

Have you ever heard of pulmonary hypertension? Well, don't feel alone if you haven't. The rare lung disease, which is often misdiagnosed or confused with a host of other illnesses, has a very low profile — even among medical professionals. But that's where Pucker Up 4 PH comes in.

Between now and October, the group is campaigning to raise awareness about the condition by collecting 40,000 lipstick prints sent in by people worldwide. The goal is to set a Guinness World Record. Blue lips are one of pulmonary hypertension's symptoms, so they're asking that you slather on your best blue lipstick for the occasion. Participating only costs you the price of postage, it's a good cause, and if anyone asks you why your lips are blue, you can help by informing them about the disease.

Take inspiration from this recent Vogue España shoot and try MAC Pro Chromacake in Marine Ultra or coat lips in NARS Istanbul Liner ($48), coat with clear gloss and pucker up. Don't forget about eBay, too.
