How to Color Hair Using CREPE PAPER! | (Cheap and Easy Hair Hack)
The results of permanently tinted rainbow hair are absolutely mesmerising. However, if you're hesitant about colouring your strands, we totally get it — dyeing your mane is a huge commitment.
Luckily, a new hack has hit YouTube, making it possible to colour your strands without using an ounce of bleach (or messy hair chalk). All you need to achieve the rainbow hues are crepe paper and a handful of household items.
YouTube personality RealAsianBeauty showed off the method using the crepe paper, warm water, salt, a bowl, and gloves. The process was simple: After combining a sprinkle of salt and hot water in a bowl, she soaked strips of the colourful paper. The liquid soon turned the colour of the crepe, and she dipped her strands in the bowl for 15 minutes. She finished by shampooing, conditioning, and styling as usual — leaving her hair with a soft ombré rainbow effect.
Depending on how often you wash and condition, the colour should last at least a week. You'll trick all your friends into thinking you spent hours at the salon, but you'll know you didn't make the time or colour commitment! This is also a great way to experiment with various hues before deciding if you will officially go rainbow.
