The Key to This Plait is Easier Than You Think
Aussie hair legend Kevin Murphy has been leading the trends at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week in the last few days, and we just love this twisted fish-tail nod to modern gothic we saw at the Designer Runway Show on Tuesday. A little more wearable than the looks he created for Myer last month, the finishing touch of a key tied to the end of the braid might be a little fashion-forward, but the rest of the fishtail braided style is ready for the street.
"We used a key in the hair to add a touch of the ornate and unexpected", said Hair Director, Kevin Murphy. "There is a slight nod to the '40s in the shape of the hair, but the silhouette is very small and wispy."
Even without the key addition, this style is perfect for any unpredictable Spring weather changes. As it keeps your hair out of the wind and rain, but still looks totally under-control and beautiful. We caught up with the hair-master to bring you the how to, so read on for the step-by-step guide to getting the look — platinum colour optional!
