Knot today and probably knot tomorrow. ➰ This is my signature move for upgrading a basic pony. 1️⃣ Spray KEH Working Texture Spray all over then separate your hair into 3 sections (one in back and one on each side). 2️⃣ Put the back section in a low ponytail. 3️⃣ Use the two side sections to make a half knot just over the ponytail. 4️⃣ Hold up (or clip up) the ponytail and then secure the tails of your half knot together underneath the ponytail using a clear elastic. #kristinesshair
Kristin Ess, the genius behind Lucy Hale's gorgeous hair, will never cease to amaze me. Not only are her creations to die for, but they also are fairly easy to re-create in the comfort of our own homes. Recently, she started sharing quick tutorials on her Instagram page, and one of them particularly caught my eye — so much so, actually, that I immediately shared it with my girlfriends. She calls it the half-knot pony.
In only a couple of minutes, this incredibly simple hack completely changes the look of a simple ponytail, giving it a polished yet glamorous look that is fit for any occasion, from a casual Sunday brunch to a fancy evening out. All you'll need to re-create this hairstyle is two clear elastics and a hair clip. But the best thing about this upgraded ponytail is that it works as well on long hair as it does on lobs.
If you don't have hair down to your waistline don't give up! Perfect example-- a couple weeks ago I did this exact same tutorial on long hair. A lot of you messaged me saying you can't do this on your lob. But you CAN!!! Just try and modify it a little for you own length or texture. 💕⚡️💇🏻💇🏼💇🏽💇🏿💇🏾 for instructions check the previous version of this tutorial called "Knotted Pony".
