How To: Naomi Watt's Hair
How-To: Naomi Watts' Super Stylish Side-Fringed 'Do
Normally we see Naomi out and about in typical mum fashion: hair scrapped back, sunnies on, looking good, but a little, well, dishevelled. Not last night. Last night, at the premiere of Mother and Child in NYC, the Aussie actress looked pretty and polished, wearing this softly-textured style that I want to scrape off the page and steal right this second. Let's all recreate it:
After blow-drying and/or straightening, part the hair slightly off centre.
On the 'fringed' side (the biggest side of the part), separate a 3-inch wide section at the front. This will be used to create the loose waves.
Pull the rest of the hair back and secure in a low chignon at the nape of the neck.
Spritz a heat protector spray, such as ghd Thermal Protector Spray ($30) or Dove Heat Defence Therapy Heat Activated Protect & Shine Mist ($7.99) onto the front section of hair.
Separate into three sections (each approx one inch wide); taking the first section, place the straighteners around the hair horizontally. Flick upwards 180 degrees and glide downwards gently through the hair. Comb through with your fingers to loosen the curl.
Repeat with the other two sections and spritz a lightweight hairspray over the whole style.
