Issey Miyake Gives New Meaning to 'Woody' Fragrances
Issey Miyake is taking ‘woody’ to a whole new level thanks to its new, unique flacons that have been carefully crafted from beech wood. Jacques Cavallier has given the L’Eau d’Issey juice a makeover, using notes of blackcurrant, mandarin orange, rose essence, mimosa absolute, freesia, Virginia cedar, white musk and amber to create L’Eau d’Issey – Fleur de Bois ($145) which is housed in a pinkish-grey beech wood bottle, topped off with a matte-white metallic cap. For the guys there's L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme – Edition Bois ($118) which features the same great juice, this time bottled in a brown beech flacon, complete with matte silver cap. Both will be available from March 7.
