In a move we didn't see coming, J.Crew moved away from their perfect messy bun and punchy lip beauty formula and into minimalist tomboy territory for Spring 2014. In an interview with Fashionista, J.Crew women's fashion director, Gayle Spannaus, said it made sense against the skin. "You have to pick one or two features to focus on. For September we wanted to bring awareness to the brushed brow and a flushed, slightly kissed cheek. A more nude lip just felt right against the glowing, flawless skin."
