This Is Why Jesinta Campbell Looked Killer on the David Jones Runway
Jesinta Campbell is damn impressive. She's just walked the David Jones Spring Summer 2016 runway (looking incredible), she's just clinched one of the most coveted roles as a beauty ambassador (for global skincare brand Olay), she's running around between hectic gym sessions (she just finished cardio, she's on her way to Pilates and she has boxing later . . .!) — but she still found 20 minutes to chat to us!
She explained her exercise was all in preparation for wearing that swimsuit again for DJs, and said, "Today's a crazy training day because I've got it off [work], it's not usually like that!"
The former Miss Universe has come a long way from her pageant days with fashion chops that earned her a seat front row at New York Fashion Week (next to Kylie Jenner) and a resume full of glossy magazine covers and fashion spreads. But that's not what I find most-impressive about Jesinta. It's her articulate and passionate opinions about current affairs and issues. When there were racial issues surrounding her fiancé, AFL player Buddy Franklin, and AFL legend Adam Goodes, she had something really important to say. And when Buddy took time off from his sport for mental health issues, she stood up and spoke of her support for him and others who suffer from the illness. When she publicly discussed the role of women with other strong and aspirational women of influence, she was succinct and honest.
Without a doubt, Jesinta really is a strong and intelligent woman worthy of admiration.
Not only does she juggle a full career and life in the spotlight in Australia, she's often jet-setting around the world on shoots and jobs. So how does she do it all? We asked her. Read on for her ultimate flying tips, the one product she wouldn't go without and her advice for someone wanting to follow in her footsteps.
