Jessica Gomes Beauty Interview 2019

Jessica Gomes Swears By Lymphatic Facials (and This Is Where She Gets Them)

We all have our own version of a little black book of products, people and treatments we swear by for keeping our skin looking good and ourselves, and feeling our best. Regardless of how often you actually dial-in a treatment, it's just nice to know you've got a comprehensive list ready to go for whenever you might need to tap in some extra support. A beauty security blanket so to speak.

So, when we recently got chatting to Jess Gomes, backstage at David Jones' Autumn/Winter 2019 season launch, we took the opportunity to find out what her wellness routine looks like, go-to products, and how she practices self care — and, not surprisingly, she really brought the goods.

From the go-to treatments (and experts) she swears by, to how she approaches wellness and the products she calls her travel MVPs, keep reading for Gomes' art of wellness.

What does wellness mean to you?

Wellness means living your true spiritual self and having balance in your life. It includes the food you eat, how you look after your body and the way you treat people and the environment — it encompass the holistic way you live your life.

What are the products you continually use and finish right up until the end?

My Equal Beauty Cleansing Cloths are always used up until the end and my Lanolips — it's so universal!

Are there any therapies or treatments you receive that have changed your life?

Yes. I love massages and I try and get them whenever I can because I feel like it's good to have good circulation. I also treat myself to facials — I go to Melanie Grant and I also see Fumi Yamamoto at Zen Facial for lymphatic facials.

How do you practice self-care?

By always taking time for myself and making sure my number one priority is that I'm okay and healthy.

With such a hectic travel schedule, how do you take care of your skin when you're on the go?

I use my Equal Beauty products because they were designed for travel and I just make sure I'm always cleaning and hydrating my skin throughout the flight.

What products are your travel MVPs?

My Equal Beauty Sheet Mask and Oribe Dry Shampoo.
