Purple Definitely Still Reigns: Katie Wears It For Marie Claire

First Kate, then Nicole, now Katie. That's right peeps, we've got another October cover where the A-lister is wearing purple eyeshadow. And three makes a trend. Y'know that, right? Kate Hudson's ELLE cover was a full-on avant-garde eye that you're more likely to see on the runway rather than in reality, but I think Katie Holmes' look is totally wearable. Scrap that. I know it is. Because I wore it last week. And everyone loved it. Totally LOVE-d it. Seriously purple eyeshadow is a sure fire way to stay on top of your game and remain pop-u-lar. Strange, but true. Try a wash of lilac on the lids with NARS D. Gorgeous Eyeshadow ($48) and then finish off with a line of BYS Auto Eyeliner with Smudger in Purple ($4.95) underneath the bottom lash line.
