Kylie Jenner's New Leo Lip Kit Shade

Did Kylie Jenner Take Down the Infamous Trendmood Instagram Account?

***PLEASE TAG ME IN ANY LEAKED PHOTOS YOU SEE WITH MY NAME ON IT!***As many of you know Kylie Cosmetics messaged a lot of people to take down their images of the last lipkit leak! (Of course I was asleep when it happened 😂 but deleted it asap!) As the first person to post it, I feel greatly responsible for all the accounts that have been penalized for the picture & for the other repercussions some people have had to face. Just wanted to apologize to everyone & Kylie Cosmetics! Lesson learned, in the future I'll be making sure I check sources, facts, & trademarks more in depth! If you know me, you know know I'm about honesty & what I posted yesterday was not a representation of that, whether it's a big deal to some or small to others. I never want to my account to become so obsessed with getting a "scoop" that I forget about PEOPLE & how to treat them, whether it's Kylie Jenner or an account with 10 followers!! (It was Kylie's property & I should have repspected that) So again, my apologies to everyone! You guys are the best & I never want to breach that integrity! ❤ YOU ALL! Thanks for supporting me always!.

Due to the popularity — and the secrecy — surrounding Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits, there are seemingly dozens of Instagram accounts that exist for the sole purpose of giving fans up-to-the-minute scoops. This includes information on restocks, upcoming launches, and sneak peeks of new products. However, the end may be nigh for these feeds due to some major drama.

Recently, images of a new limited-edition, gold-packaged Lip Kit were leaked to social media. The reddish-brown shade was rumoured to be named Leo, a likely nod to Kylie Jenner's horoscope. The accounts that posted pictures of the Leo Lip Kit began getting direct messages from Kylie Cosmetics with scary legal wording. Instagram user @lipsnitches shared her experience above.

"Kylie Cosmetics messaged a lot of people to take down their images of the last lip kit leak," she explained. "As the first person to post it, I feel greatly responsible for all the accounts that have been penalised for the picture & for the other repercussions some people have had to face." She has apologised profusely for posting the image and taken down the image. She added, "I never want to my account to become so obsessed with getting a 'scoop' that I forget about PEOPLE & how to treat them . . . It was Kylie's property & I should have respected that."

The person messaging @lipsnitches on behalf of Kylie Cosmetics mentioned that the leaked images were stolen and that they are subject to a strict non-disclosure agreement. This "absolutely prohibits the disclosure or posting of any of this information and/or these images," and the message demanded the shots be taken down immediately.

In a search for the contraband Lip Kit photos, fans likely turned to @Trendmood1, a controversial Instagram account that is known for posting sneak peeks of beauty products. It is loathed by many brand founders and publicists as these images reveal launches well before the brand even announces their existence. However, the account has since been taken down.

@Trendmood1 has likely been threatened with similar messages before. The account has posted pictures of Urban Decay's collaboration with Gwen Stefani, Kat Von D's Serpentina palette, and more major beauty news without brand approval. But it's fascinating that Kylie Jenner was the one person to put an end to the illegal behaviour.

However, it might not be that surprising that she succeeded. After all, if the star can get the Better Business Bureau to drop an F rating, surely she can take down a measly Instagram account. Still looking for images of the Leo Lip Kit? Stay tuned. It's only fair that Kylie gets to share images of her products first, and we have no doubt that she'll be sharing swatches soon.
