Lincoln University May Ban Students From Graduating for Being Obese

Should Obese People Be Stopped From Graduating?

One US university is taking a strong stance against the growing obesity problem by potentially refusing to allow students to graduate if they have a body mass index (BMI) of 30+.

Over 20 seniors are in danger of not being allowed to graduate as their BMIs fell into the obese category when they arrived at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and they have since failed to lose the weight or take a “Fitness for Life” class.

Understandably it’s a difficult issue to police with students on one side arguing that the uni doesn’t have the right to do this and the uni saying that they’re committed to everyone knowing the risks of obesity. What do you think –  has the uni taken it too far or is it a smart move?
