Just yesterday we were admiring Taylor Swift's berry lipstick and wild locks for her Allure magazine December cover shoot, but little Miss Swift never keeps the same style for long. For the 58th BMI Country Music Awards in Nashville last night, Taylor wore her hair up and to the side, teaming it with a sexy silver eye and glossy lip. Here's how to recreate the look yourself at home:
BASE: Tay-Tay's porcelain is so beaut-iful and fresh so she doesn't need anything too heavy. Start with a primer like L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Anti-Shine Mattifying Primer ($37.95) and follow with a tinted moisturiser or lightweight foundation. Invisible Zinc Brush-On Tinted Daywear ($38.50) is perfect for fair-skinned beauties like Taylor as it offers sun protection as well as a light tint. Finish with CoverGirl Clean Pressed Powder ($14.40) and a hint of Clarins Rose Powder Blush ($55).
Keep reading . . . EYES: Taylor is the master of sparkly silver shadow, which she sometimes turns into a smoky eye. Now you can be too with CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast ($17.95) aka The Easiest Way to Create a Smoky Eye in the World. The dual-ended pencil can be used both under the eye and on the lids, and if you want to work the silver shade into a fine line near the inner V, you can always apply it with a brush, instead of directly. Next, line the inner V with kohl. Also line just above and below the upper and lower lash lines on the outer eye. Finish with lashings of CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion ($18.95) for that dramatic lash line.
LIPS: A slick of Smashbox Lip Enhancing Sheer Lip Gloss in Pop ($26.95) and you're ready to rock 'n' roll. Or mabe that should be croon . . .
Stockists: Invisible Zinc (1300 738 850), L’Oreal Paris (1300 659 259).
