Marc Jacobs Lola and YSL Model Karlie Kloss Reveals Her Top Beauty Tips and Products
Revealed: The Inside of Karlie Kloss' Beauty Cabinet. Fo' Real.
I was soooooooo pumped to discover the on-set secret to the Glee girls' hair. But there is something that tops the feeling of knowing what A-list actresses and movie stars use on their hair and face. Pray tell, you say? It's knowing what models use. Think about it. When the international shows are on, these girls are wearing 100s of looks. Having their hair tonged, teased, tousled and so much more. Which means they a) pick up a bevy of backstage beauty tips from the likes of Pat McGrath, Peter Philips and François Nars; b) they need to keep their skin and hair in tip-top shape at all times and c) there's every chance that they or someone they know have road-tested every different beauty product out there to get to the best. And the best isn't always what's most expensive. Case in point: Karlie Kloss, the face behind Marc Jacobs Lola fragrance and the YSL Rock & Baroque A/W 2010 campaign. She recently took Into the Gloss inside her bathroom cabinet and revealed that she swears by Pond's Cold Cream ("It’s the old-school cheap trick," she says), Lancôme’s Définicils mascara, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (her tip: "I actually use it to do a nude lip"), a $5 whitening toothpaste, Marc Jacobs Lola (obvs) and an Italian beauty stick that is the secret to the flawless dewy skin look that is oft created by Pat McGrath. Group trip to Italy, anyone?
