Is Meghan Markle Using a Makeup Artist For Her Wedding?

Meghan Markle, Chill Bride, Reportedly Won't Have a Wedding Makeup Artist

Weird: my invite to the May 19 royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Price Harry must have gotten lost in the mail. Another person who reportedly won't attend? According to the UK's Express, Meghan has nixed the idea of hiring a makeup artist for her big day. In an attempt to maintain some "normalcy," the former Suits star may forgo professional help and instead enlist friends to help her get ready.

If this sounds familiar, it's because Meghan is taking a page out of her future sister-in-law Kate Middleton's beauty playbook. When Kate walked down the aisle of Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, to marry Prince William, she did so in makeup applied by her very own hands. Though the low-key duchess took pre-wedding lessons from makeup artist Arabella Preston to perfect her technique, that rose blush and lip look was all her own doing.

Meghan's following suit — sort of. Although she's ditching a pro, the British paper reported that she's tapped two friends to help her in the cosmetics department. As a source said, "She's got two friends doing it for her from America. They're not professionals — just close friends of hers." The pair will even stay at Windsor Castle to prep for the nuptials, where "they will be put up in the staff accommodation" and basically live out our Downton Abbey fantasy.

We'll just have to wait and see what's in store for Meghan's beautiful face, but regardless, we know that the future duchess and lifelong beauty-lover will probably have a huge say in what products are used. She's copped to loving Chanel eyeliner, Nars blush, and Yves Saint Laurent concealer, to name a few, so we're sure her eventual face chart will be as glam as it gets.
