Other Ways to Use Lip Gloss
Who Ever Said Lip Gloss Was Just For Your Lips?
OK so the name does imply that lip gloss is meant for adding shine to the lips but, the next time you need a little pick-me-up or you've got an unexpected rendezvous with the guy you've been making eyes at in line for coffee, turn to your trusty friend: the lip gloss. It is a multi-tasking marvel, I tells ya.
On the cheeks: For a dewy look, simply dab a hint of gloss on your cheeks. It's an easy way to give yourself an instant fresh-faced glow.
On the lids: Have a pink lip gloss? Pat it on lids to create a subtle rosiness. A neutral one will look like the perfect ivory. Still not quite sure what to do with that black lip gloss? For a smoky, edgy effect, dot it on your outer lids and blend. Carine Roitfeld eat your heart out.
On the lips: If you want to be all conventional, I insist you still have some fun. Create your own custom colour by tapping an eyeshadow or blush onto your lips, then blend out it with a clear- or neutral-toned gloss. Remember that blue shadow, cringe-worthy as it might sound, actually provides subtle, teeth-whitening results.
