Paris Hilton in Trouble Over Dream Catchers Hair Extensions Contract
Paris Hilton's Very Bad Hair (Extensions) Day
Uh oh, Paris is in trouble. Something's come along and it's burst her bubble. Uh oh. Yeah, yeah. Long story short: Ms. Hilton was paid oodles of cash to wear and promote Dream Catchers Hair Extensions. Figures. She loves the whole Barbie look an' all. She didn't have trouble promoting them — even posing legs akimbo wearing them. Necessary, obviously. Seems it was the wearing of them that she struggled with. Hairtech International Inc is alleging that the Hilton was "seen in magazines and on television not wearing [their] hair extensions and was in fact wearing competitors' hair extension products." Oopsie. So now they're seeking US$35 million (approx AUD$39 million) in damages. A whopping 10 times what Paris was paid in the first place. Major F-up. They're also not that happy that she missed an ever-so important launch party back in 2007 because she was otherwise engaged (read: in jail). Her camp says there's "no merit" to any of the claims. Oh the wonderful world of celeb endorsements.
