Robyn Lawley seems like your typical top model: she's posed on the cover of Vogue magazines, been tapped by brands like Ralph Lauren and Mango for campaigns, and worked with big-wig photographers such as Steven Meisel. But Robyn stands out from the pack in that she's a plus-size model and damn proud of it. In fact, her Twitter slug reads: "I'm a model beyond a size 10, I live in New York but my hometown is Australia, I love my job and I believe that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes." So it makes sense that purveyors of all things cool and fashion forward, aka Barneys New York, would tap the in-demand face for their new beauty ads.
This marks the first time Robyn has ever done a beauty campaign, and she shared the news with her Twitter followers when she tweeted: "This is my first proper beauty job ever!! Often models of my size are overlooked I applaud @barneysnyofficial and the very talented @benhassett using me."
We're just as excited as Robyn is about the close-up images of her stunning face modelling four of Barneys's beauty brands, including Make (a label the specialty store launched this in Spring), Givenchy, Kevyn Aucoin, and Nars. Plus, we scored two exclusive, never-before-seen images of Lawley in the campaign wearing Givenchy (above) and Make (below). Seriously, could the girl be any more gorgeous? Kudos to Barneys for giving us another reason to fuel our major girl crush on Robyn.
