Put Down That Cigarette! New Study Says Smoking Makes Acne WORSE

Where There's Smoke, There's Fire: Smoking Leads to Acne

The news on cigarettes just keeps on getting worse. Along with facing a whole host of other health problems, smokers also have more acne. Fact. A report in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found that adult acne is "significantly correlated" with smoking cigarettes. Of the women studied, a HUGE 72.9 percent of acne sufferers were smokers. Even more interesting, the fact that researchers found a positive correlation between the number of cigarettes smoked and the severity of comedonal acne. So if you're after clear skin, quit.
