Rachael Taylor Has a Really Important Message For Women
When I see Rachael Taylor take to the stage, as Neutrogena's ambassador for their new #seewhatspossible campaign, it's clear she's a warrior. She's eloquent, leads by example, and has some really important things to say about women.
The Hollywood actress has taken time out from her LA life to come back to her home country (Rachael grew up in Tassie) to speak to us about this project: a campaign that supports and encourages women to follow their dreams. The video for the #seewhatspossible campaign opens with a question, "What makes a woman beautiful?" and then goes on to answer:
Beautiful is having the courage to re-frame your future.
The creativity to show the world what they couldn't see on their own.
What makes a woman beautiful?
Her passion, her guts, her glory.
It's truly inspiring. I sat down with Rachael after the event to find out what the campaign is all about, and I got so much more than I bargained for.
Rachael tells me, "[The campaign's] got this lovely positive, optimistic ethic behind it, and I really like that alignment – any chance I can get to move that conversation forwards: women living in abundance and achieving their awe . . . that feels good for me."
And it certainly feels good to us.
At POPSUGAR we're massive advocates of women supporting women, and Rachael practically takes the words right out of my mouth. She says, "I think it's important for women to support each other because we're stronger together than we are pitted together as adversaries – which is something of a common misconception about the way in which women are perceived."
