It’s getting to the hour of the day where I need a little fun to perk me up so I opened up L’Oreal True Match Roll’ On ($34.95) for a play.
In case you haven’t seen it in stores, it’s a creamy foundation that comes with a roll-on sponge (a paint roller type thing) for application. It's more Bunnings than Bella but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
And do you know, it's actually very good. I don't know why someone hasn't thought of it before given the similarities between makeup and paint. The foundation has oils and gliding agents (I have no idea what constitutes as a “gliding agent”) in it which helps when you roll the applicator through; I had to do it a few times at first but don't go crazy or you'll end up looking caked-on.
Keep reading . . . I found it offered surprisingly even coverage; obviously the contours in the face are a bit tricky to navigate so you’d need a sponge to blend across the nose and chin.
It’s part of the True Match range which mean its pigments adjust to different colours and textures of your skin. The finish is matte, natural and I'd happily say flawless.
Brushes watch out, it looks like there’s a new beauty tool on the block . . .
