Lets be honest, even a great makeup artist is only as good as their canvas, so the first step to beaming bridal beauty is to get your skin in tip top shape. Sure, detoxing a month or so out might clear your pores and reduce dark circles, but putting in the effort pre-wedding will ensure long-lasting, glowing results.

Given my own wedding is only a mere three months away, I headed to the experts at The Clinic. I had an initial consultation with cofounder Kaye Scott who gave me the best options for clear, clean, luminous skin. Better still, she gave me the lowdown for breastfeeding brides, because if like me, you had your baby before the big day, there are a couple of additional factors to consider.

My brief was simple: plump, dewy, bright and ridiculously glowing skin. I'm talking Ania Milczarczyk highlights sans makeup. Instantly, Kaye understood. So I asked for the details on what she recommended and why.
