Spring '11 Trend to Try Now: Orange Eyeshadow
Spring '11 Trend to Try Now: Clockwork Orange
It's no secret that orange always busts a move around this time of year — gracing the lips of many-a-lady at the Spring Racing Carnival. But the Spring '11 way to wear this trendy tone is on your lids, not your lips. We can trace it back to Miu Miu's statement shadow A/W '10 look, as well as Christian Dior's, but this season's style is a little less graphic, less bold, more wearable and a whole lot more flirtier. Wear it in a wing à la Derek Lam or, why not combine it with another of Spring's hottest looks and apply the vibrant hue to your inner V.

TIP #1: If you want to wear this trend but aren't really sure a bold orange, such as shu uemura pressed eye shadow M orange 260 ($39) is for you, try applying it using soft strokes all over the lid and then apply a shimmering gold over the top. This will dilute the colour.

TIP #3: Don't think that you just have to use eyeshadow. Tom Pecheux, the lead makeup artist at Derek Lam actually used a lip product on Abbey Lee and co. Try MAC Morange Lipstick ($35).
