What Comes First, the Stress or the Spot?

It's a classic "chicken and egg" scenario: what comes first, the stress or the spot? See it's a well-known fact that stress can cause breakouts — in a recent study conducted by Neutrogena, 74 percent of the 1,000 women polled, said they get more spots when they're stressed — but bearing in mind that our readers said that bad skin is the second most stressful thing in their lives, what actually comes first: the stress-caused spot or the stress-causing spot?
