TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist Joh Bailey will be sharing his expert advice with us all throughout Australia's Next Top Model so be sure to stayed tuned every Tuesday! Up today, he shares his tips on creating the perfect sleek ponytail that the models wore to walk in the Alex Perry show.
P-p-p-poker straight: According to Joh, it doesn't matter whether you create this style on "day-old" or freshly-washed hair. What is important is "working with a straightener to get it poker straight and to cut out the frizz."
Prep work: "This calls for serious styling so always protect your hair," says Joh. He recommends using

Keep reading . . .Hey, part-ner: Not sure where to part your hair for a sleek ponytail? Follow in the episode's footsteps and do "no part, which is ideal for a higher ponytail which needs to be pulled up and away from the face." If you're securing the hair at the nape of the neck, Joh loves "a deep side part for something a little different."
Fight frizz: There's nothing sexy about frizz and flyaways so make sure you have hairspray on hand. Joh's favourite is TRESemmé TRES Two hairspray, ($7.99) which he used to create the models' ponytails last night. "This hairspray has no water in it, and after blow-drying all the water out of the hair, why spray it back in?" Simply spritz on the lightweight spray, brush the frizzies down and then spray again for no frizz.
Get shorty: Still want a sleek style but don't want to add extensions? "Just work on slicking the hair back and pull it down at the nape of the neck," says Joh.
