There are a whole bunch of products out there that help add volume, but what if you have one of those days where you style your hair, only to realise it's falling flat around the roots. Then what? Then you employ this little tip that I picked up from Pantene Expert Stylist, Barney Martin.
After tonging your hair — if your hair falls too flat, the worst thing you can do is wear it poker straight — instead of simply misting hairspray all over, section off the centre strands. As a rough guide, follow your face with your thumbs upwards and hold onto that section. Next, grab some hairspray and spritz at the roots of the parted section. Then dry the hairspray in. This is really important — it doesn't matter whether you use a hot or cool heat, but the hairspray must be dried in for it to work. Next, repeat those steps about a cm in towards the centre part line. Repeat 2-3 times for noticeable root lift.
