RAFW 2010: Elizabeth Taylor a Muse for Rachel Gilbert and Napoleon
Napoleon Perdis was the man behind the makeup at Rachel Gilbert, drawing on Elizabeth Taylor in A Place in the Sun for inspiration, particularly the "aristocratic arches," as Napoleon describes the brows. The skin was prepped with Napoleon's new skin renewal serum which you can be in with a chance of winning all of this week. The faces were then sprayed with Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation, while the cheeks were contoured with Cheek to Chic Blush Duo # 1 and highlighted beautifully using the silver shade in Light Patrol Luminzer Palette.
Napoleon freestyled for the lip, using China Doll Eyeliner in Alabaster with DeVine Goddess Lipstick in Nymphe to create a gorgeous baby pink shade that happens to be very close to what I'm wearing. The bold brow extending out towards the temple came courtesy of China Doll Eyeliner in Equinox. Catch Napoleon talking me through the inspiration in this backstage video.
