It's been a little while since we had a good old fashioned face-off, or on this occasion with Rose Byrne and Leighton Meester, a battle of the bangs. But first thing's first — Rose Byrne's got a brand new 'do, with hairstylist John Frieda saying it was inspired by "Michelle Pfeiffer's character in Scarface: bold, rounded bangs with a bob." The Aussie actress attended the Gotham magazine event for the September issue cover, unveiling her neatly brushed bangs with a slightly higher peak in the centre, meaning she'll be able to wear them in a centre-part, too, à la Alexa Chung. Gossip Girl's Leighton attended the HTC Rhyme event, keeping her hair styled in sleek 'n' straight with added volume in the fringe.
