If Logie's beauty has a Queen, then that Queen has to be Zoë Foster Blake. Not one to shy away from sharing the amount of beauty prep involved in getting ready for a big event, Zoë posted to her Instagram to share the details on her pre-Logies beauty routine, including the very effective treatment that, to quote her directly, make her skin "ZING WITH HEALTH".
Zoë explained that she no longer has the time to dedicate to a "skin program" before a big event. So, along with a Go-To sheet mask, she relies on a dermaplaning treatment (also known as face shaving), to exfoliate, remove peach fuzz and leave her with a perfectly smooth canvas ready for makeup application.
"Pre-kids I used to have time for a skin 'program' before a big event: now I just book in one VERY EFFECTIVE treatment, pack a Go-To sheet mask for the day, and hire a makeup artist who excels in glow. So, in my one efficient hour today I had dermaplaning (microblading which exfoliates and remove the hair from face for astonishing makeup application; I've had it a few times and before you ask, no, the hair doesn't return thicker. That said, if you have sensitive skin or hormonal imbalances leading to excessive facial hair, maybe give it a miss) then some 'active oxygen' to calm the skin and also brighten it after the dermaplaning, followed by Laser Genesis (no downtime, reduces redness, brightens skin and most critically, stimulates collagen and elastin in a few days' time. Last time I had this I was shocked and delighted at the delayed onset mega glow, which is why I booked this today, so skin is peaking for the Logies on Sunday) and then a peptide mask to soothe and hydrate."
This isn't the first time Zoë has relied on this treatment for her Logies beauty prep, with her first trying Dermaplaning before the Logies red carpet back in 2017. But, if her seriously glowy selfie (see above) is anything to go by, clearly, she's onto a good thing.
