Alexandra Daddario — who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role as disenchanted newly-wed Rachel in The White Lotus — may have lost out to co-star Jennifer Coolidge, but she won the red carpet in her gauzy Dior Haute Couture gown on the Emmys 2022 Red Carpet.

Daddario’s saucily sheer and pearl-encrusted ensemble was perfectly complemented by her ethereal, glowing complexion. The secret behind her gossamer glow? New Zealand-based sustainable beauty brand Emma Lewisham.

The actor’s dramatic beauty look included a  black, blunt bob and punchy crimson pout – we suspect Daddario’s signature lip, Rouge Dior Couture Finish Refillable Lipstick in “Concorde,” ($60).

To pull off this kind of 1920s glam without looking too costumey, a fresh, modern base is essential, and Dior Beauty makeup artist Lottie Stannard used all Emma Lewisham products to achieve Daddario’s radiant complexion.

Stannards said she prepped Daddario’s base with Emma Lewisham’s Skin Reset Even Skinton Serum ($140), a hydrating vitamin C treatment, and the Illuminating Day Crème ($112).

To create a smooth and hydrated base for concealer, Stannard patted on the Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Eye Crème ($121). Finally, for Daddorio’s exposed arms and back Stannard blended Illuminating Day Crème with a few drops of Supernatural Face Oil ($132) to create supple, silky red carpet skin.

The MUA discovered the products through some mutual friends in Australia, where Emma Lewisham Skincare is ranged through MECCA, Net-a-Porter, David Jones and via the Emma Lewisham website.

The Emma Lewisham Skincare range is loved by celebrities, makeup artists and beauty journalists locally. Last year, Jane Goodall gave her ringing endorsement when Emma Lewisham Skincare became the first carbon-positive, entirely circular beauty brand last year.

Emma Lewisham herself made headlines for releasing the brand’s refillable packaging IP to the industry, allowing small and large beauty brands to transition to circular packaging.

Needless to say, Lewisham was stoked to see an international MUA opt for Emma Lewisham Skincare on the red carpet — a huge win for sustainable beauty.

“It was such exciting news to find out Lottie had used our products on Alexandra Daddario,” she said. She added she was something of a fan of The White Lotus and Daddario, saying she loved Daddario’s character Rachel and congratulating the star on her first Emmy nomination.

While Emma Lewisham Skincare is currently only available in Australia and New Zealand, red carpet appearances like these might take the brand global.
