Glazed-donut nails have officially earned Anne Hathaway‘s seal of approval. The “WeCrashed” actor wore her own version of the trendy manicure at Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood celebration on Oct. 17, and we could totally see post-makeover Andy Sachs rocking a similar nail look if “The Devil Wears Prada” was filmed in 2022.

Hathaway’s natural nails were finished with a soft chrome top coat that glistened against her navy beaded Ralph Lauren gown and perfectly complemented her silver Bulgari rings and snake-shaped necklace. During the event, Hathaway was honored as a game-changer in the industry alongside other leading ladies, including Michelle Yeoh, Issa Rae, Olivia Wilde, and Sydney Sweeney, who all wore similarly show-stopping outfits for the occasion.

Popularized by Hailey Bieber and manicurist Zola Ganzorigt earlier this year, glazed-doughnut nails are typically achieved by applying a layer of chrome powder (or shimmery eyeshadow, as a hack) over an opaque base polish, although Essie’s Expressive FX Iced Out Fx Top Coat also works like a charm to achieve the desired glazed effect. In the past few months, nail enthusiasts and celebrities galore have experimented with different iterations of the trend, adding everything from neon base coats to contrasting french tips underneath.

Hathaway has been on quite the stylish press tour promoting her upcoming film “Armageddon Time,” recently channeling “Clueless” in a hot-pink Versace blazer. For a Today show appearance on Oct. 12, the mother of two wore a more muted glazed-donut manicure than her recent version, and that same day, she swapped in a silver embellished nail look that matched her beaded dress at a New York Film Festival screening.
