Zendaya and Hailey Bieber rock barbie beauty

The “Barbie” movie has officially dropped and we’re feeling a return of “pink” for winter, and predicting Barbiecore will take over the the beauty space again. In honour of the trailers release, we’re looking back on our favourite celebrity “Barbie” beauty moments and taking a look back at the biggest trend of 2022.

How the Barbie Beauty Trend Started

Seen on Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly when they wore matching pink hairstyles to the premiere of his documentary “Life in Pink,” the colour has extended even further into beauty. The colour’s popularity is a result of the dopamine clothing trend, which recently made its way over to the beauty scene. Interest in “dopamine nails,” for example, has spiked over the last few weeks, and for good reason. “People are trying to temper the anxieties of 2020 and are looking for light-heartedness and fun in all aspects of life, but especially in regards to beauty,” Rita Remark, a nail artist and Essie’s global lead educator, told POPSUGAR in June. She noted: “The idea is to choose colours and/or designs that bring a rush of joy – like a hit of dopamine – specifically for you.”
