Glitz and Glam: All of the Exact Beauty Products Behind Your Favourite Oscars Looks
The Oscars took place on April 26 and after a year of very little award show glamour, it was a treat to see celebrities bring their A-game when it came to their style choices. The beauty looks were far from boring and we came away with too many makeup and hair favourites to list — in saying that, Margot Robbie’s new bangs and Halle Berry’s microbob both deserve a special mention!
Makeup-wise, smoky tones were in — especially when it came to eyeshadow choices. A few bold lips also turned up on the red carpet, with Vanessa Kirby’s bold brows and oxblood lip choice a real winner of the night. If you’re keen to recreate some of the beauty you witnessed on the film industry’s night of nights, these are the products you’ll need:
Zendaya
Makeup artist Sheika Daley used the iconic Lancôme Juicy Tubes in the shade Raspberry Cool ($46) to create Zendaya’s subtle pink pout.
Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie went with subtle makeup at the 2021 Oscars in order to let her new bangs do the talking. Robbie’s makeup artist Pati Dubroff used Chanel makeup to create the “naturally romantic look,” Dubroff wrote on Instagram. The product used to create this look was Chanel’s Palette Essentielle ($96).
Andra Day
Andra Day was radiant on the red carpet and it’s all thanks to a little Chanel highlighting powder. “I wanted Andra’s makeup to emit an otherworldly goddess-like glow,” makeup artist Porsche Cooper told Vogue. To get the glow for yourself, try Chanel’s Poudre Lumiere Illuminating Powder ($86).
Vanessa Kirby
Makeup artist Jo Baker used all Gucci Beauty makeup to create this vampy look on Vanessa Kirby. Baker told InStyle Magazine that the oxblood lip colour was the creation of two shades — Gucci’s Rouge à Lèvres Mat Matte Lipstick in Eadie Scarlet ($57) and Gucci’s Crayon Contour Des Lévres Lip Line in Bordeaux ($49).
Carey Mulligan
Promising Young Woman star Carey Mulligan wore a showstopping dress but opted for a subtle makeup look on the red carpet. Makeup artist Georgie Eisdell went for a natural vibe, telling Vogue that she loves “a nude lip on Carey”. Eisdell used Chanel’s Rouge Allure Laque Ultrawear Shine Liquid Lip Colour in the shade Ultimate ($58).
