Chrissy Teigen is back with more beauty inspiration and this manicure feels pretty timely. On July 20, the entrepreneur attended her husband, John Legend‘s, pop up for his brand Loved01 in Los Angeles wearing a satin pink set and matching fuzzy heels. The best part of the outfit? Her half-moon design.
Teigen’s nails were kept short and filed into an oval shape. They were then painted a translucent pink shade that would lead you to believe she was opting for the ’90s supermodel trend. Instead, a small half-moon was painted right above her cuticle line in black, adding an edgy element to the otherwise neutral look. Teigen completed the ensemble with beachy waves and soft, monochromatic pink makeup.
Half-moon nails are a fun take on the classic french design, which has made a fierce comeback since dominating the ’90s and early ’00s. Other iterations have included baby, invisible, and even shadow-french manicures, so if there were an award for the most versatile nail, we’re convinced it’d win first place.
