From Striped Lips to Gold Body Paint, Doja Cat’s Wild Makeup Is Serving Extravagance
Doja Cat is putting on a full production at Paris Fashion Week, and her abstract makeup is proof that she’s the star of this show. While most celebrities in attendance made their outfits the focal point of the event, Doja Cat took centre stage with a series of wild and wonderful beauty looks that spoke volumes compared to the standard winged eyeliner and swipe of lip gloss.
With the help of makeup artist Laurel Charleston, the “Say So” singer arrived at the A.W.A.K.E. Mode womenswear spring/summer 2023 show fully covered in shimmering gold body paint. The metallic foundation transformed Doja Cat into a walking statue, complete with a chromed-out manicure and matching gold jewellery. During the show, the singer even whipped out a tube of gold, glittery lipstick to touch up her makeup as the models strutted down the runway.
Leading up to the A.W.A.K.E. show, Doja Cat revealed five other shockingly gorgeous beauty looks, achieved with the help of makeup artist Sophia Sinot. The looks included a red, white, and blue lip stripe that ran vertically down her chin at the Thom Browne show; black lightning-bolt eyeliner at the Vivienne Westwood show; a spray of blue paint on one of her cheekbones at the Lanvin show; and a black snakeskin-inspired lip, which she paired with silver eyebrow studs after shaving off her eyebrows on Instagram Live in August.
At the Monot show on Oct. 1, the star also turned heads when she arrived in a full face of white makeup with electric-blue contours along her chin and cheekbones. She completed the look with a bold red lip and lengthy eyelash extensions to complement her strappy black ensemble and claw-tipped evening gloves. But that’s not all: just days earlier, she attended New York Fashion Week stateside in a full face of makeup reminiscent of white lace.
