Ditch Your Lash Glue: The New Fenty Beauty “Hella Thicc” Mascara is Falsies in a Tube

There’s nothing like a false lash to take your look from so-so to siren-esque. But there’s also nothing like a false lash to ruin your evening and your beat.
It’s a common scenario. You’re happy with your makeup, you’ve even nailed your winged liner, and you’ve decided to apply a false strip lash. What could go wrong? Forty-five minutes later, you realise you didn’t trim your lashes correctly. Now they’re firmly glued on and poking you in the eyeball.
Alternately, you went a little too ham on the DUO, and there is now as much lash glue in your lashes as there is mascara. Whatever the disaster, you’re restarting your once flawless eye makeup from scratch.
Say you’ve made it through application. You’re out and about. Then you feel that dreaded “lift” — your full, fluffy lashes are peeling off mid-Aperol spritz, taking the bottom half of your eye look with them. You’re in public and missing the will, the way, and the time to fix the situation without seeming extraordinarily high maintenance.

For most of us, falsies are infrequently worth the effort.
But lately, I’ve wanted more from my mascaras thanks to TikTok trends, like Douyin and Coquette beauty, that feature doll-like lashes. Typically, mascaras won’t give you the density, blackness, or length of a synthetic lash. Mascara isn’t to blame — it’s ultimately just working with what your genetics gave you.
That was until I tried the new Fenty Beauty, Hella Thicc Volumizing Mascara ($34).
Introducing Fenty Beauty, Hella Thicc Volumizing Mascara
Let’s get this out of the way: the mascara is already kicking off on TikTok for a good reason. On first application, my lashes were thic (one c!) and flipped (curled) and jet black. The whites of my under-slept eyes were popping. And with another coat? My lashes had entered “hella thicc” (two c’s!) false lash territory, and I felt good.
What I love about the Fenty mascara is the slightly tapered wand that captures the shorter lashes at my eyes’ inner and outer corners. While doll eyes are trending, spidery lashes will tip your doll-like lash look into cursed territory.

Fenty Beauty, Hella Thicc gives a wide-eyed look with zero clumping. I applied and applied, getting my lashes as close as possible to Ardell Demi Wispies-status, and not once did they tip into Annabelle in “The Conjuring” territory.
The only drawback of this mascara is because it is slightly slow to dry down (this is what makes it buildable) there is risk of transfer. My tip is to keep a tiny q-tip on hand for precision removal. Once dried, Fenty Beauty, Hella Thicc Mascara is smudge free and lasts all day without flaking on you.
Fenty Beauty, Hella Thicc In Summary
Overall, suppose you are looking for a thicccc, long, jet-black lash. In that case, I recommend the Fenty Beauty, Hella Thicc Mascara — I can’t recommend it enough, actually.
With 356.6k views on two hashtags (one is misspelt, sorry Tokkers) and counting, I’d add it to cart today.
