Rihanna Just Confirmed the First Product in Fenty Skin's New Range, and Hurry Up August 1
The long wait is almost over, people. FENTY SKIN officially launches on July 31 (August 1, in Australia).
Ahead of the launch, Rihanna released a six-minute video where she shares the inspiration behind FENTY SKIN . "It really fucking works. It's affordable. I made it the best possible way I can. I put the best ingredients that I could. I put my love and my heart into it.
"I've been living with it for quite some time but now it's your turn to try it. You don't have to take my word for it, you'll get to see your results on your own, " she said smiling at the camera.
"I wanted to use a wide range of ingredients from all over the world and also have some ingredients that were personal to me like the Barbados Cherry . . . It's a very healing ingredient, it's a brightening ingredient and it's also very high in vitamin C. More Vitamin C than even an orange. So that was very important for me to include in skincare because it's something that I use."
She also listed other ingredients we can expect to see in the range like quince, Kalahari melon and fig alongside "skincare gold standard ingredients", niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.
Rhi Rhi also confirmed the first rumoured product from the range, Hydra Vizor Moisturizer. Hydra Vizor is a daily moisturiser that is suitable for all skin tones and types no matter what climate you're in. It's reef-safe SPF, contains no harmful ingredients and comes sans excess packaging.
"It was important to me that we formulated products that didn't have any harmful ingredients, and it was important to me that we didn't create any excess packaging. So overall we're using less packaging, eliminated boxes, wherever we could, we are using recyclable materials wherever we can. And we're also using refillable systems where you just buy the outside packaging once and from there you just keep refilling and you can recycle."
Given we're still a few days out from launch, here's hope Rhianna drops some more teaser videos to reveal the rest of the range. Fenty Skin will exclusively at FentySkin.com. It will also be available in Sephora Australia stores and online at sephora.com.au later this year.
