Go-To Skincare's New Body Lotion Is SO Good I’ve Forgotten What Dry Skin Feels Like
A little over a month ago, I received a top-secret product from Go-To Skincare to try before it launched to the masses (not uncommon when you're a beauty writer). And considering I've been a long time fan of the brand's no-fuss approach to beauty and ascribe to their no BS, playful attitude, so I was pretty excited to see what their newest innovation was.
When the peachy pink tube landed on my desk I was like, but . . . this isn't for my face?! However, that moment of sadness disappeared the minute I smeared the cream across my palm (I blame the intoxicating smell of sweet almond oil). It was a rich body lotion, a first for the Aussie brand. I was intrigued and almost immediately began lathering up my limbs to put it to the test. I was really putting my body on the line here guys . . .
Unlike your standard body lotions that you slap on and go, Skin Party is designed to be massaged into the skin, creating a little moment for you to pause and enjoy self-care. And I mean, after the year we've had, show me a person who doesn't need a little more of that RN.
It's jam-packed with hydrating oils, essential fatty acids, (sweet almond, squalane), water-drawing humectants (glycerin), powerhouse occlusives (shea butter, coconut oil), antioxidants (vitamin e, rosemary leaf extract) and calming chamomile — AKA: the perfect dose of hydration your post-Winter skin so desperately needs.
It applies thick and as you massage it into your skin it softens and hydrates even the driest of areas. Once it sinks in, it works to protect the skin's moisture barrier, and since it's partly water-based, it helps the skin retain moisture, meaning your limbs will stay hydrated for longer.
I can confirm that my legs have never felt so soft (or hydrated) without feeling sticky or greasy. I use it daily post-shower, and the smell is so good I almost don't need my fragrance. My boyfriend is even a fan, I massaged it into his skin once (GF of the year?! I think so) and now he's always like, "you know that cream . . ." *hint hint*
In short, Skin Party has become my new go-to body lotion for Summer, post-beach skin-quencher anyone?! It comes in at a reasonable price of $34 and should last you a few months of use . . . unless you get a little too excited like me and basically bathe in it.
Scrap the whole 'rich body lotions are only for Winter' trope and scroll to add one to your cart, trust me you won't regret it.
