Sand & Sky's New Powder Polish Exfoliant Is Here to Transform Your Skin
Yep, it's that good.
This week, the cult Australian brand that floods Instagram on the reg with their pink clay masks, Sand & Sky, launched their game changing new exfoliating product, the Australian Emu Apple Enzyme Powder Polish. Loaded with ingredients like Australian glow berries (for antioxidants), papaya fruit enzymes (skin cell turnover), Australian quandong and davidson plum (anti-inflammatory) and aloe vera, jojoba and macadamia oils (nourishment and hydration), this water-activated powder-to-foam formula gently exfoliates the skin to remove any dead skin cells, dirt and oil build up, leaving your skin renewed in as little as 60 seconds.
So How Does it Work?
To activate the polish, pour a half-spoon full into the palm of you hand and add a few drops of water. Then, rub hands together to create a foam and gently massage onto you skin (don't forget your neck!) in circular motions for 15 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Rinse and apply your usual serums and moisturisers as usual. It's recommended you use it around 2-3 times per week post-cleanse.
Co-founder of Sand & Sky, Sarah Hamilton also recommends swapping out water for their glow drops, "Our Dreamy Glow Drops contain an innovative bi-phase formula of water and oil that's super lightweight, so it's the perfect product to activate your Enzyme Powder Polish with, simply swap out water and add 6-7 drops."
"The drops contain 5 types of Hyaluronic Acid, an insane amount of antioxidants and vitamin C through the Australian Glow Berries and Kakadu Plum, so layering this in with the exfoliator will really supercharge your instant, brightening results," says Sarah.
"Your skin stays ultra silky while the papaya fruit enzymes in the exfoliator are working hard to dissolve your skin's impurities, it's pure magic. Both products are also specially made to tackle fine lines and wrinkles, so definitely get that extra boost by using them together! Once you've removed the Enzyme Powder Polish, we highly recommend finishing off with our Dreamy Glow Drops for a megawatt glow that you will physically see."
Is It Suitable For All Skin Types?
Yep, it's suitable for dry, sensitive, oily, combination and normal skin types, but as with all new skincare products you should always do a test patch first. Despite being a powder based exfoliant it's actually quite non-abrasive, think of the quandong and davidson plum as natures answer to AHA's, they have anti-inflammatory properties so they're suited to sensitive skin. The papaya enzymes gently remove dead skin cells and even out your skin tone without the need for rigorous scrubbing or irritating the skin. Then you've got the added benefit of the emu apple, riberry, and pepperberry berries that give the skin a healthy does of vitamin C, while the aloe vera, jojoba and macadamia oils are both soothing and hydrating.
