The winners of the MECCA Beauty Election have been announced and over 24,000 beauty lovers cast over 220,000 unique votes for the products they have in high rotation right now. Skincare enthusiasts were out in full force, with the skincare category receiving the most votes, at 41,000, followed by makeup at 26,000 votes.
Tatcha’s Dewy Skin Cream ($103) received the most unique votes with a whopping 11,000 nominations by 47 percent of participating voters to win the Best Moisturisers category, which was closely followed by Dr Dennis Gross’ cult Spectralite Faceware ($661), which received 10,000 votes for Best Device.
Dr Dennis Gross and Tatcha were the only brands to win two categories each, also taking out Best Blemish Fixer and Best Cleanser respectively.
Meanwhile, the closet call in the Election was in the Best Hair category, with Briogeo’s Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask ($55) beating the Aquis Rapid Dry Turban ($46) by just 500 votes!
