Keep Forgetting to Reapply Your Sunscreen? This Spray SPF Is the Way Forward

Naked Sundays

We’re extremely passionate about all things sunscreen. Not only is SPF vital in an anti-ageing skincare routine but it’s incredibly important in the prevention of skin cancer. In 2020, it is estimated that over 16,000 Australians were diagnosed with melanoma.

Research conducted by Aussie SPF-first skincare brand, Naked Sundays, found that 70% of millennials don’t wear sunscreen every day — a truly startling statistic. In order to change the conversation around SPF, Naked Sundays set about to create sunscreen products that felt more like skincare and could be worn under or over makeup.

One of the biggest hurdles when it comes to SPF application is reapplication. You might have the pre-makeup sunscreen application down pat, but you’re forgetting to reapply during the day. We get it, it’s finicky and annoying to reapply SPF over your makeup. But, it’s also necessary.

To make this process easier, Naked Sundays created the SPF 50+ Hydrating Glow Mist, which was specifically designed to be Australia’s first over-your-makeup top-up product. This product is filled with antioxidants thanks to the addition of watermelon extract as well as hyaluronic acid, for hydration, and vitamin C-rich Kakadu plum, which is the key to moisture-filled skin.

To use, take a breath in and close your lips and eyes, then spray in an even circle generously seven times while holding the bottle around 20-25cm from your face. Let it dry for three seconds before opening your eyes. At this point, you can try using Hannah English’s method of reapplying sunscreen over makeup using a Juno & Co Microfibre Velvet Sponge, which you can find in her Instagram highlights.

If you’re a fan of the traditional application of SPF, Naked Sundays also has you covered with its SPF 50+ Collagen Glow Creme, which is basically like a four-in-one primer, sunscreen, collagen-booster and moisturiser in one product — consider us sold.
