7. Moisturise Those Hard Workers
Our hands work hard for the money, let's put it that way. They need to be kept hydrated just as much as your face does (remember, hands are one of the first areas to show signs of aging!) so you must be diligent with moisturising them. Work a generous dollop of Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream ($32) into your hands, being sure not to neglect in between your fingers, around your nail beds and down to your wrists.
This cream specifically will do a thorough job on its own — it moisturises and conditions nails and cuticles — but if you want to up the ante, run a hand towel under very warm water for one minute, wring it out and wrap your creamy hands in the heat. Sit like this for one minute, allowing the heat to open your pores and soak up the moisture, then remove hands from the towel.
Before you move to the next step, be sure to "squeak" your nails — that is, run a tiny bit of nail polish remover on a cotton pad over your nail beds to remove any cream residue. If you don't, you polish won't stick to your nails.
