Sabrina Carpenter Shows Off Her Abs in an Extreme-Cutout Bodysuit and Sheer Skirt

Several celebrities have embraced naked dresses, and Sabrina Carpenter’s latest appearance proves the trend isn’t going anywhere soon. On Aug. 10, the 24-year-old took a sultry approach to the popular style while attending the Variety Power of Young Hollywood event at NeueHouse Hollywood. Styled by Jason Bolden, who’s also worked with the likes of Yara Shahidi and Dwyane Wade, Carpenter’s ensemble featured an asymmetric black dress, sheer tights, and platform shoes, also in black.

The “Skin” singer’s dress by The Attico contained multiple elements that gave off the illusion of a separate top-and-skirt set, making the outfit even more unique. The sheer skirt featured a feather-trim hemline and a thigh-high slit that showed off her legs and sheer tights, and the bodice included an enticing cutout that bared her toned abs. She topped things off with elegant makeup, her blond strands styled in loose curls, and her signature bang.

Carpenter’s look is a soft departure from her affinity for microskirts. Just last week, she appeared on the Lollapalooza stage in an all-pink heart-shaped crop top and miniskirt, effortlessly nailing the Barbiecore trend. She also wore a similar ensemble for the Glasgow, Scotland, leg of her “Emails I Can’t Send” Tour: a white, sheer skort from I.Am.Gia.

She’s also no rookie when it comes to rocking body-baring silhouettes. As the unofficial queen of cutouts, Carpenter stunned in an all-white two-piece skirt set with alluring hip cutouts and a side thigh-high slit for a 2023 Grammys afterparty. She also served major Renaissance vibes in a stomach-baring silver fringe set by Oscar De La Renta for the American Music Awards. And she paraded even larger hip cutouts in a rainbow Moschino gown at the Video Music Awards last year.
